Online Yoga Classes

Hi folks,

I’ll be away for a few weeks in October 2019 for the Accessible Yoga conference and training and will miss a few of my regular classes in Echuca – so I thought it was a great excuse to create an online class for you all.

A key principle of Kind Yoga is financial accessibility – so I invite you to enjoy this online class free of charge, or you can make an optional donation using the buttons below if that is accessible to you.

What you might like to gather in preparation for this class:

  • A yoga mat
  • A chair
  • A couple of pillows
  • A yoga strap (or the strap from your bathrobe / a tie / a towel)
  • A towel or blanket
  • *Optional – 2 x yoga blocks (if you have them)
  • *Optional – a bolster (if you have one)

What to expect:

  • A gentle, mindful, beginner-friendly practice
  • Options for sensitive knees and wrists
  • An invitational approach (listen to your body, and choose the options that are best for you)
  • Unravelling your whole body and moving every joint in every direction
  • Some balance / stability
  • Some time for rest / stillness / restoration
  • This class is most suitable for those who are comfortable getting up and down off the floor

Class Duration:

  • 75 minutes

(Please note – I am by no means a video creator or editor, so working with my current technical abilities this is a ‘one-take’ effort. Apologies for that time the buckle from my strap hits the wall and makes a loud noise, and when my phone rings on silent and vibrates on the desk – I’ll get better at this with practice).

By participating in this online class you acknowledge the following:

If at any time during the class, you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. You may rest at any time during the class. It is important in yoga that you listen to your body, and respect its limits on any given day. I understand that yoga includes physical movements as well as an opportunity for relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular tension. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. If I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, and discontinue the activity. I will continue to breathe smoothly. I assume full responsibility for any and all damages, which may incur through participation. I understand that yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment. Yoga is not recommended and is not safe under certain medical conditions. I affirm that a licensed physician has verified my good health and physical condition to participate in such a fitness program, if required. I will work safely within the limitations of any medical conditions or physical limitations I experience. If I am pregnant, become pregnant or I am post-natal or post-surgical, I acknowledge that I have my physician’s approval to participate. I also affirm that I alone am responsible to decide whether to practice yoga and participation is at my own risk. I hereby agree to irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or may have hereafter against Kind Yoga and all related facilities and premises for any personal injury or negligence.
