What to expect from Kind Yoga classes

Kind Yoga (the original)

  • 1 hour class
  • Kind Yoga classes have been evolving since I started sharing them in 2014. In their current incarnation – we generally start on the floor in a comfortable, supported shape for some breath awareness. We then move into some gentle floor-based movements aimed at unravelling our bodies and promoting increased mobility (think moving every joint in every direction every day). We incorporate some gentle functional strength and stability work along the way – mainly aimed at promoting a healthy posture, and counteracting the common movements (or stationary nature) of daily life. We’ll work our way gently up to standing for a little bit of standing strength / balancing, and then we’ll settle back down onto the floor for some final Restorative Yoga / rest. Everything is optional. Go at your own pace. Lots of options given and props available to look after sore knees / wrists etc.

Kind Yoga for Every Body

  • 1 hour class
  • While for some, rolling around on the floor and lying over bolsters is their idea of a super lovely time. For others, getting up and down off the floor is less than ideal, for a number of reasons. Kind Yoga for Every Body offers a class where the whole class can be done seated / standing, and you don’t miss out on anything! If you are a ‘floor dweller’ you can still definitely incorporate some seated or lying floor-based shapes – consider it a bit of a ‘choose your own adventure’ class. We will use chairs, bolsters and other props to support our practice. This class is suitable for all bodies, all shapes and sizes, all ages, all genders.

Kind Yoga – Unravel & Restore

  • 1 – 1.5 hour class
  • This class will be purely floor-based – with breath awareness, yummy Restorative Yoga (using props to settle into slightly longer held fully supported shapes), as well as gentle movements to unravel our bodies in a lush and lovely way. A perfect way to end the day / week.
